In 2006, in order to clarify our market focus, we changed the company name to Kitco Defense (dba) and created a new logo to enhance the brand image. As part of the name change, we included the line “Engineered Parts, Distribution, Services” to emphasize our areas of significant competency. Kitco Defense has since grown to have a global presence and has become a leader in custom kitting and military parts distribution.

Knowledge & Expertise

For 38 years, Kitco Defense has designed thousands of kits for U.S. Government, OEM, and overhaul shop customers. Many of the kits include sub-kits designed to increase end‑user maintenance and efficiency. We have significant experience managing make-to-print and commodity suppliers, controlling outside process houses, and inspecting complex items. Our bills of material range from ten parts to over a thousand parts per kit.

Successful kitting demands the highest level of experience, supply-chain management know-how, and a system capable of tracking large quantities of components and kits with an endless array of configurations. Our core business is overhaul and repair kits for many types of military aircraft.

We understand our products. Kitco Defense has an on-site engineering staff to help with problem resolution for our customers. We have an extensive drawing library with more than 300,000 OEM and U.S. Government drawings, regional technical library, and proprietary data licenses and technical assistance agreements. It all gives us the technical resources to ensure quality products and services that you as a customer demand.
